Vicinity

On a park plot, only 220 yards away from the beach and the steep coast, was built at the end of 1996 a regionally typical thatched house with half-timbering lining and window bars. The two-room vacation apartment is on the ground/first floor at this side of home "Deichblick" which is most turned towards the Baltic Sea. It is in a central but quiet location. There is a short level walk to all local shops and restaurants. You can enjoy the sun on the terrace and in the garden to south-west. The flat is spaciously designed for 2 to 4 persons and furnished individually and friendly in country house style

Ahrenshoop

The former artist settlement Ahrenshoop – called "land between the sea and bay" – is formed by wind and sea and has a light which you can hardly find somewhere else. These uniqueness of the place together with the architecture of thatched village and summer houses, the wonderful white sandy beaches and steep coasts attract artists and guests since more than 100 years and creates harmony between nature, relaxing and art. In Ahrenshoop get sport fans their money’s worth as well as guests which looking for quietness and relaxation in the open country.
Between the Hanse towns Rostock and Stralsund you can find a narrow peninsula which separates barrier-like the bay-richly waters and the Baltic sea. The scenic variety is impressive. There are steep and shallow shores, sand bars, beach lakes and wind mud flats, magical woodland – remains of the former primeval forest. The 60 km (37 miles) long coastal strip with fine sandy beaches offers room for individual development.
In autumn/fall, after high season other guests arrive. Those are wild gooses, wild ducks, cranes and other birds of passage flying from Scandinavia to their hibernate quarters in the south of Europe and Africa. They take a rest on rocks, meadows and shallow bay waters.
In the north of Ahrenshoop begins the national park called "Nationalpark Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft", which extends up to Hiddensee. Extensive bicycle paths enable a very impressive landscape to be experienced.
