"Earthsky" – Cottage in Le Lau / Vieussan in the Parc Naturel du Haut-Languedoc – France

"Earthsky" comprises of three eighteenth century cottages, which cling to a mountain side above the charming hamlet of Le Lau,
in the Parc Naturel du Haut-Languedoc. At present I have one for rent. A second one may be negotiable if you need more bed /
bathroom facilities. The cottages and their south facing, terraced Meditarranean gardens enjoy sublime sunset views towards
the Orb valley and the mountains beyond.
"Earthsky" is a tranquil rural paradise for lovers of nature, ideal for walkers, artists, writers and photographers. Local activities
include hiking, climbing, canoeing, swimming, horse-riding, cycling, tennis and golf, not to mention some excellent restaurants
and local wines!
Within an hour's drive one can find glorious Maditerranean beaches, many sites of interest to enthusiasts of Roman and Cathar
history, and the rightfully popular market town and cultural centre which is Pezenas. Closer to home are medieval villages, colourful markets, fabulous mountain walks, rivers, lakes, gorges and caves.
The nearest airports are Beziers (one hour), Carcassone (two hours) and Montpelier (two hours).

The cottage is situated in Le Lau, in the Parc Naturel du Haut-Languedoc – France

Reviews Reviews 		The cottage has about 40 sqare metres of living space and is suitable for 2 to max. 4 people.
  • There is a woodburner in the living room, with the option of an electric radiator if you are feeling lazy!
  • The ground floor comprises a kitchen equipped with a fridge freezer, four ring gas-hob and a microwave.
  • It leads into the living room, which has a single bed/sitting area, two arm-chairs, a coffee table, a dining table for four, a dvd/ video player and a radio/cassette/cd player.
  • French windows lead from the living room onto secluded terraces (equipped with a barbeque and another table for four) which face south and west with fabulous views.
  • Upstairs there is a mezzanine bedroom with a large double bed and an ensuite shower room/wc with a large wardrobe.
  • There is a washing machine in the cellar and drying lines in the garden.
  • There is a folder in the cottage with details of local sites of interest, restaurants, markets etcetera.
Extras - The car-park is one hundred metres from the house and the only access is by foot. The path is somewhat
  steep and a bit rough. This is a real rural retreat, and I have a motorized wheel-barrow with which I can help
  you with you luggage!
- Linen and towels are provided free of charge.
- Pets may be accomodated on request.
- Smokers are respectfully requested to step outside and enjoy the view from the terrace whilst indulging.

- Two more can be accommodated on the sofa-bed in the lounge for € 10,- / person / day.
- Single people may sometimes negotiate a discount off season.
- Final cleaning: 35,- euros.
- Bed-linen and towels are included in the rental price.
- There is an extra charge for firewood.
- Electricity will be charged for at the EDF rate per kW/h.
- Please send a 40% deposit with your booking. This deposit is not refundable in the case of no-shows.
- The balance should be paid six weeks before your arrival, accompanied by a payment of 150 euros,
  returnable when you leave except in case of damages, These requirements are flexible in the case of late
  bookings, in which case you will be asked to pay the above on arrival.
